Auggie
One auggie mcp add command.
auggie mcp add saves the server to ~/.augment/settings.json. A new session connects and loads the tools.Read-only. Your agent can see balances and transactions, and nothing can move money, pay a bill, or place a trade. BankBridge doesn’t store your transactions. How it’s secured · Try it with sample data first
Step 01
Add the server.
terminal, one line
auggie mcp add bankbridge --transport http --url https://bankbridge.money/api/mcp \ --header "Authorization:Bearer bbk_your_api_key_here"
~/.augment/settings.json
{
"mcpServers": {
"bankbridge": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://bankbridge.money/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer bbk_your_api_key_here"
}
}
}
}Restart Auggie after editing the config.
Write the header with no space after the colon, as shown: Authorization:Bearer.
Step 02
Verify it works.
auggie mcp list shows what you saved. It does not connect to the server, so the real check is a session: sign in with auggie login, start Auggie, and watch for bankbridge as it initializes its MCP servers. Then ask:
try this
list my bank accounts and balances
To test the config before you sign up, use the key bbk_demo. It returns sample data.
Troubleshooting
Client connects but shows 0 tools.
Usually the client is caching an old config, or you're on a mode that doesn't expose tools (Ask/Edit vs Agent, for example).
Fix: Fully quit + relaunch the host app. In VS Code Copilot, switch to Agent mode.
401 Unauthorized on every call.
The API key is missing, typo'd, or got revoked. Check the Authorization header starts with `Bearer ` (note the space) and ends in a key you still own.
Fix: Paste a fresh key from Settings.
Tools return a NO_CONNECTIONS warning.
You haven't linked a bank yet.
Fix: Visit Connect a bank . The bank-connect flow opens automatically, ~30 seconds.
