Connect Truist to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
Yes, Truist works with BankBridge. You sign in on Truist’s own site and approve read-only access, and then Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can answer questions about your checking, savings, credit cards and Truist investment accounts. Nothing it connects can move money, and you can turn access off from inside Truist at any time.
How to connect Truist
- Sign in at bankbridge.money with your email (we send a 6-digit code) and pick a plan: $5 a month or $50 a year per bank.
- Choose Connect a bank, search for Truist, and sign in on Truist’s own screen. Pick which accounts to share.
- Add BankBridge to your AI app: one click in Claude, or follow the setup for ChatGPT, Cursor and others.
- Ask something like “What did I spend on my Truist card at gas stations over the last three months?”
How Truist handles the sign-in
Truist says its open banking connections give you tokenized access where you choose which apps can see your data and for what purpose, without sharing your username or password. When you enroll, you confirm which accounts Truist shares.

Sign in to Truist online banking and open the connected apps page in your profile settings, where you can stop sharing with an app. You can also call Truist Customer Support at 888-228-6654, name the app and the accounts, and ask them to stop sharing.
Truist's terms give the page's address but no public help page shows the menu labels, so the link name in online banking may differ.

Good to know about Truist
Truist's terms say ending your service with an app doesn't always stop Truist from sharing data with it. To stop sharing with BankBridge, disconnect the bank in your BankBridge dashboard and revoke it on Truist's connected apps page.

Questions
Does BankBridge work with Truist?
Yes. Truist connects through a sign-in on Truist's own site, and BankBridge can read your checking, savings, credit cards and Truist investment accounts.
Does BankBridge or the AI get my Truist password?
No. You sign in with Truist directly and approve read-only access. BankBridge receives an access token, never your password, and Claude or ChatGPT only ever sees the answers to the questions you ask.
How do I turn off access from inside Truist?
Sign in to Truist online banking and open the connected apps page in your profile settings, where you can stop sharing with an app. You can also call Truist Customer Support at 888-228-6654, name the app and the accounts, and ask them to stop sharing. You can also disconnect the bank from your BankBridge dashboard at any time.
Can it move money or make payments?
No. BankBridge is read-only by design. Its tools can list balances, transactions, recurring charges and holdings, but none of them can move money, pay bills or place trades.
