How to add a bank connector to Claude Team or Enterprise

By Jake Marsh4 min read
Direct answer: An Owner or Primary Owner adds BankBridge in Organization settings under Connectors, using the URL https://bankbridge.money/api/mcp. Each member who needs bank data then opens Customize, then Connectors, and clicks Connect with their own sign-in. Each BankBridge account sees only the banks linked to it, at $5 a month per bank.

Step 1: the Owner adds the connector

These steps follow Anthropic's custom connectors page, read November 6, 2026. On Team, only an Owner or Primary Owner can do this. On Enterprise, so can someone with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries.

  1. Open Organization settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
  3. Name it BankBridge. Members see this name in their list.
  4. Enter the URL https://bankbridge.money/api/mcp and click Continue.
  5. Review the authentication settings Claude detected and click Continue.
  6. Under Authentication, pick a sign-in option. Don't pick No sign in.
  7. Leave Request headers empty and click Add.

Keep API keys out of that form. A BankBridge key in Request headers would be a shared credential, and Anthropic's docs warn that a shared credential gives everyone who uses the connector that credential's access. With sign-in, each person reaches only their own BankBridge account.

Step 2: each member connects

This applies to anyone on the team who needs bank data, including the Owner:

  1. Go to Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Find BankBridge in the list. It may show a Custom label.
  3. Click Connect and sign in to BankBridge with the emailed code or Google.
  4. Pick a plan and link a bank on its own sign-in screen.
  5. In a chat, click the + button, open Connectors and make sure BankBridge is on.

Who sees which accounts

Member who hasn't connectedNo bank dataNothing

Your bank's sign-in screen usually lets you choose which accounts to share. Numbers that enter a chat are visible to anyone that chat is shared with, so keep finance chats private unless you mean to share them. When you do need to pass results along, send the finished report or CSV.

First questions to ask

"List my connected business accounts with the last four digits of each."
"Which recurring charges on the business card went up this year?"

For the monthly routine, follow the LLC month-end close: a P&L, owner draws and a CSV for your accountant.

Scheduled reports on a team

Anthropic lists scheduled tasks on Team and Enterprise, and says they can use the connectors you've set up. Admins control Cowork access, and Owners can turn off Claude Code's cloud tasks for the whole organization. Those cloud tasks belong to one person's account and aren't shared with teammates, so the person who runs the books should create them. The prompts are in scheduled money reviews.

If your team uses ChatGPT

The setup is different there, and your workspace admin controls what's available. Start with our ChatGPT workspace setup page. One BankBridge account can serve Claude and ChatGPT at once, so the same linked bank works in both without a second charge.

Owners can add the connector any time, since doing so links no bank and starts no charge. Whoever runs the books can then connect the business bank.

FAQ

Can a member add BankBridge to Claude Team without the Owner?

No. Anthropic's docs say only Owners and Primary Owners can add custom connectors to a Team plan. On Enterprise, that extends to people with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries. Members connect after that.

Does everyone on the team get to see the bank accounts?

No. Adding the connector makes it available to connect, and shows no bank data by itself. Each person signs in with their own BankBridge account, which sees only the banks linked to it.

Does every member have to pay?

Only people who connect their own BankBridge account and link a bank. It's $5 a month or $50 a year per connected bank, billed to that BankBridge account. Teammates who don't need bank data can leave the connector unconnected.

Can two people share one company bank connection?

BankBridge has no shared workspace or separate bookkeeper role. The usual setup is that the person who runs the books links the bank, asks the questions and shares the results.

Can anyone on the team move money through Claude?

Not through BankBridge. Its data tools only read, and connect_bank only returns a link for you to open. Payments stay at your bank, with your bank's own permissions.
