Pick your situation
BankBridge works the same for everyone: connect US banks, cards, and brokerages, then ask your AI agent questions. What changes is which accounts you connect and what you ask. Jump to the section that matches you.
- LLC owners: Single-member and small-team LLCs: keep books in order with an agent instead of a fractional CFO.
- freelancers: Contract income is lumpy. Use an agent to track it, smooth it, and set aside the tax piece.
- real estate investors: Rental income and property expenses, categorized automatically by your agent.
- traders: Connect your brokerage and ask your agent about positions, P&L, and dividend income.
- households: Two partners, joint account, same agent. Monthly money reviews without spreadsheets.
- retirees: Social Security, pensions, brokerage withdrawals, and RMDs. Tracked live by an agent.
- sole proprietors: Sole-prop income and expenses, categorized the way Schedule C wants them.
- nonprofits: Small nonprofits: track donations, grants, and program-specific spending with an agent.
- students: College students: keep on top of rent, meal-plan reloads, tuition fees, and whatever's left.
- SaaS founders: Bootstrapped and early-stage founders: runway math + expense review via an agent.
BankBridge for LLC owners
Connect your business checking, business credit, and personal-if-commingled accounts. Then ask your agent to categorize this quarter's expenses, flag owner-draws, separate deductibles from personal, estimate quarterly taxes, and surface recurring SaaS bills.
What LLC owners usually want to know
- Separating business from personal across Schedule C categories
- Quarterly estimated tax reminders and rough 1040-ES math
- Detecting SaaS sprawl (one MRR review can pay for the year)
- Reconciling credit-card interest (business cards carrying balances get flagged)
Prompts to try first
“Categorize every charge on my business card this quarter for Schedule C.”
“How much should I send for quarterly taxes assuming 22% effective rate?”
“List every SaaS subscription on my business card, sorted by monthly cost.”
Can it calculate my quarterly estimated taxes?
It can total business income and expenses for the quarter from your real deposits and charges and apply a rate you give it. Treat the result as a starting number for your tax professional, not a filing; BankBridge does not give tax advice.
Does BankBridge replace my accounting software?
It does not keep a ledger. BankBridge gives your agent live, read-only access to transactions so it can categorize, summarize, and export them. Many owners use the agent's CSV exports as the input to their books or their accountant.
How does pricing work with separate business and personal banks?
$5 per month per connected bank. A business bank and a personal bank is $10 a month; both appear to the same agent, so it can spot commingled charges across them.
BankBridge for freelancers
Freelancer income arrives in spikes, and the question is always 'do I have the runway for the next gap?' Ask your agent to compute a 3-month trailing average, identify which clients have paid on time, flag late payers, and pull out the suggested tax-savings percentage before you spend it.
What freelancers usually want to know
- Tracking which clients paid and which are overdue
- Set-aside math: what % of each deposit should go to a tax-savings account
- Trailing 3-month average income (smoothes the lumpy reality)
- Recurring-tool costs that eat into margin
Prompts to try first
“What's my trailing 3-month average income? Any late-paying clients?”
“How much should I have set aside for taxes if my effective rate is 28%?”
“List every tool I pay for monthly and sort by price.”
How much of each payment should I set aside for taxes?
That depends on your income, deductions, and state, so ask a tax professional for the percentage. Once you have it, the agent can apply it to every deposit and tell you what should be in your tax savings account.
Does a trailing average help with lumpy income?
Yes. A three or six month trailing average of deposits is a steadier number to budget from than any single month. The agent computes it from get_monthly_cashflow across months and can also show your lowest month to plan around.
Will payouts from payment apps and marketplaces show up?
Yes, as deposits on the account they land in. Tell the agent which senders are personal so it does not count a friend's repayment as client income.
BankBridge for real estate investors
Track rent deposits by tenant name, categorize property-specific expenses (mortgage, tax, insurance, maintenance), compute net operating income per property, and flag charges that look wrong. The agent reads your checking + LLC accounts live.
What real estate investors usually want to know
- Matching deposits to tenants via memo/descriptor
- Tagging expenses to specific properties using merchant name
- NOI per property (rent in minus costs out)
- Flagging maintenance spend that exceeds budget by %
Prompts to try first
“Show me all rent deposits this month, grouped by tenant name.”
“What's my net operating income per property this year?”
“Flag any maintenance charges over $500 this month.”
Can it compute NOI per property?
Yes, if expenses can be tied to a property: a separate account or card per property, or merchant and memo rules you give it (this insurer is property A, this HOA is property B). Shared expenses need an allocation rule from you.
How far back can I pull property expenses?
Up to 24 months, enough for a year-over-year comparison and for gathering a full tax year of repairs, insurance, and property taxes paid from connected accounts.
BankBridge for traders
The investment tools in BankBridge let your agent pull current holdings, gain/loss per position, buys/sells, and dividend history. Ask for a concentration review, dividend yield, or a tax-loss-harvesting list in natural language.
What traders usually want to know
- Current position value + unrealized gain/loss by ticker
- Dividend income YTD and trailing 12-month
- Concentration risk: % of portfolio in top 3 positions
- Tax-loss-harvesting candidates for year-end
Prompts to try first
“What's my portfolio value, broken down by position with gain/loss?”
“How much dividend income have I received this year?”
“Which positions are down more than 10% and could be tax-loss harvested?”
Can the agent place trades?
No. BankBridge is read-only. list_holdings and list_investment_transactions return positions, cost basis, buys, sells, and dividends; you place any trade in your brokerage.
Can it find tax-loss harvesting candidates?
It can list positions trading below cost basis with the unrealized loss for each. Wash-sale rules and your full tax picture matter, so review the list with a tax professional before selling.
How current are the holdings numbers?
Each call fetches live from your connection. Prices reflect what the institution reports at that moment, which can lag the market during trading hours.
BankBridge for households
Both partners connect their banks, then either one can ask the agent about joint cashflow, shared recurring bills, upcoming large expenses, and savings-rate trends. BankBridge is per-bank pricing, so a couple with 4 accounts costs $20/mo total.
What households usually want to know
- Combined cashflow across multiple accounts
- Who paid what this month (for split-bill households)
- Recurring shared bills (utilities, streaming, internet)
- Upcoming large expenses in the next 30 days
Prompts to try first
“Combined cashflow for both of us this month. What's our joint savings rate?”
“List every bill we share: cable, streaming, utilities, phones.”
“Any upcoming large charges in the next 30 days based on past patterns?”
Can the agent tell who paid for what?
Yes, by account. If each partner has their own card, the agent can total shared categories per card and compute who owes whom under a split you define, such as 50/50 or by income share.
What does a household setup cost?
$5 per month per connected bank. Two people with two banks each is four connections, $20 a month.
BankBridge for retirees
Retirement income comes from 3-5 streams: Social Security, pension deposits, IRA/401(k) withdrawals, dividends, maybe rental income. Ask your agent to chart them all, flag unexpected drops, and project next month's cashflow.
What retirees usually want to know
- Income streams coming from multiple sources with different cadences
- Distinguishing Social Security + pension direct deposits from investment withdrawals
- Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) tracking
- Fixed-income spending patterns vs actual
Prompts to try first
“Show me every deposit this month grouped by income source.”
“Have my RMD withdrawals come through this year? How much?”
“What's my fixed expenses vs my income? Am I on track?”
Can it track required minimum distributions?
It can show withdrawals from connected retirement accounts and deposits into checking this year. Your required amount comes from your custodian; give the agent that number and it will compare what has been withdrawn so far.
Is a read-only connection safer for an older relative?
A read-only connection cannot move money, which removes one category of risk. It still exposes financial data to the AI assistant, so set it up with the account owner's consent and review who can sign in to the assistant.
BankBridge for sole proprietors
Sole proprietors file Schedule C. Ask your agent to group expenses by the lines on the form (advertising, supplies, office expense, travel, meals, utilities, etc.) and surface likely deductibles you might have missed.
What sole proprietors usually want to know
- Mapping raw transactions to Schedule C categories
- Home-office + utilities proration
- Meals deductibility (50% vs 100% depending on context)
- Mileage and vehicle expenses from card charges
Prompts to try first
“Group every business charge this year by Schedule C category.”
“What business meals have I had this month?”
“Show me every charge that looks like office supplies or software.”
Do I need a separate business account?
It makes everything easier, because the agent can treat that whole account as business. Without one, give it rules for which merchants are business and expect more questions.
Can it give me a year-end export for my tax preparer?
Yes. Ask for a CSV of business transactions grouped by category for the tax year. In Claude Code, the /tax-prep command writes a full-year CSV and a category summary.
BankBridge for nonprofits
Connect your nonprofit's bank accounts and ask your agent about donations received, recurring donors, grant deposits, and program-specific expenses. Export-ready summaries for your treasurer report.
What nonprofits usually want to know
- Donation inflow tracking (recurring vs one-time)
- Grant-specific restricted-fund accounting
- Program expenses by initiative
- Fiscal-year rollups for board reports
Prompts to try first
“How many donations have we received this month, and from how many unique donors?”
“Show me every grant deposit this year and the source.”
“Summarize our program spending by category for the FY so far.”
Can it track restricted grant spending?
If grant money sits in its own account, yes, directly. If not, give the agent rules that tie expenses to each grant and it will total spending against each award.
Who at the nonprofit should connect the accounts?
Someone authorized to view the organization's bank accounts, usually the treasurer. BankBridge is read-only, so it adds visibility without adding anyone who can move funds.
BankBridge for students
Students usually have one checking account and a credit card. Ask your agent to break down spending into rent, food, tuition fees, and discretionary; flag subscriptions you're paying for but not using; and surface upcoming tuition deadlines.
What students usually want to know
- Rent + housing tracking
- Subscription bloat (streaming, study tools, delivery apps)
- Food spending (meal plan vs groceries vs dining out)
- Tuition installments and fees
Prompts to try first
“What did I spend on food this month? Split by groceries vs delivery vs dining out.”
“List every subscription I'm paying for. Which haven't I used this month?”
“What are all my tuition-related charges this semester?”
Can the agent separate meal-plan reloads from groceries and delivery?
Yes. Campus meal-plan reloads usually have a distinct merchant name. The agent can split food spending into meal plan, groceries, delivery, and dining out.
Can it remind me about tuition deadlines?
It can find past tuition and fee payments and their dates, which shows when the next ones are likely. It does not see your school's billing portal, so confirm exact deadlines there.
BankBridge for SaaS founders
Connect your business banking and ask your agent about runway (cash on hand / monthly burn), vendor spending (AWS, Anthropic, Stripe fees, contractors), and any unusual charges. The kind of question you'd ask a CFO, without a CFO.
What SaaS founders usually want to know
- Runway: cash on hand divided by monthly burn rate
- Infrastructure spend (AWS, Vercel, Anthropic, OpenAI, databases)
- Contractor payments and 1099 tracking
- Stripe fees as % of revenue
Prompts to try first
“What's my burn rate this month? Given my current cash, how many months of runway?”
“Break down my infrastructure spend: AWS, Vercel, Anthropic, others.”
“Show me every contractor payment this quarter, grouped by payee.”
Can it reconcile Stripe payouts with revenue?
It sees the payouts that land in your bank, not individual charges inside Stripe. It can match payout amounts and dates against a Stripe payout report you provide. See our guide on reconciling Stripe payouts.
Can it break down infrastructure spend by vendor?
Yes. get_spending_summary grouped by merchant shows AWS, model APIs, hosting, and databases separately, and get_merchant_history shows how each vendor's bill has changed over 12 months.
